Vice President, Retail Solutions Marketing
As Vice President-Marketing, Cox Automotive Retail Solutions, Kevin Filan is responsible for developing, leading and implementing an integrated Retail Solutions marketing strategy and approach for our industry brands: vAuto, HomeNet, VinSolutions, Xtime and Dealertrack. Kevin possesses a vast array of marketing, automotive, B2B and leadership experience that positions him to help Cox Automotive meet the evolving needs of its clients and the industry.
Filan joined Cox Automotive in September 2011 and has held roles of increasing responsibility leading the company’s customer marketing, industry relations and event initiatives to include the B2B marketing teams on Autotrader and KBB, followed by leading the Inventory Solutions and Financial Solutions Group Marketing teams. Kevin previously worked in various marketing roles at Ford Motor Company, where he gained valuable experience working on both the OEM and Dealer sides of the business.
Following his time at Ford, he gained further B2B and B2C marketing expertise in the automotive, industrials and consumer packaged goods space. He held leadership positions at Zyman Group Consulting, Georgia Pacific and most recently the Alcon Division of Novartis, where he led a team responsible for establishing customer growth strategies, account business planning, channel/customer pricing strategy, and customer promotional programs and advertising across a wide variety of channels.
Prior to starting his marketing career, Kevin spent nearly 14 years in the United States Navy where he was a Naval Officer and Aviator successfully completing multiple deployments to the Middle East, Mediterranean and Latin America.
Kevin holds an undergraduate degree from the United States Naval Academy and an MBA from Duke University.
